Illustration Friday - "Propagate"

Well, it's that time of year again!  Soon we will be seeing new growth in nature, and lots of offspring in wildlife.  This week's Illustration Friday theme, "Propagate" brought a smile to my face.  As someone who has started many a tray of flowers from seed, I find delight in the freshness, renewal and growth that Spring offers our lives!

Last night I felt a little bit like the female half of the parental birds. My three daughters and I will occasionally do a 'Girl's Night Out' to catch up and just enjoy each other over dinner.  It's fun getting away from the responsibilities of homework and housework.  We had a great meal, and needless to say, a wonderful and treasured time together. Love my girls!

Illustration Friday - "Adrift"

There are actually two items 'adrift' in this quick painting I did over the weekend for Illustration Friday  . . .

I don't know about you, but for me the freedom and newness of being adrift and in new surroundings can both be exciting and a bit unnerving.  The times I have found myself adrift typically were spent doing a lot of thinking, which ultimately enriched my life and my spirit.

And the beach.  What better place to be for reflection and soul-searching :)

So while the packaging was a long time in coming, it was worth the wait.   Now that it's settled I can get back to new artwork SOON.  So be on the lookout in the days ahead :)

On a personal note, working with all these flower and insect images has me really looking forward to Spring.  And Jim and I are in the process of planning several trips - always exciting.

Have been almost too busy lately - getting new inventory into the local shops, working on new art and *tada*!  Finally have all the packaging and formatting done for the Mini Art Magnets I've had on the back burner (for way too long).
